Position Title:
Research (nontenure track) faculty/ Research Scientist
Duties & Responsibilities:
Research Faculty (Ranks to be determined): The primary role is to provide support for statistical collaboration and consultation with faculty, staff, and trainees at the departmental level in the School of Medicine or on specific funded research projects in the Division of Biostatistics. Participate in training and educational programs of the Division of Biostatistics that include a Ph.D. program in Biostatistics and various training programs and activities for junior faculty, fellows, and trainee throughout the School of Medicine. Research Scientist positions (at various levels): Research Scientists provide consultation with physicians and scientists throughout the New York University School of Medicine for Departmental research activities (particularly in Clinical Departments) and/or on funded projects that require Biostatistics effort under the direction of Biostatistics faculty.
Position Qualifications:
• Research Faculty: Ph.D. in Biostatistics or Statistics. • Research Scientist: Ph.D. or Master’s in Biostatistics or Statistics. • Experience in clinical and/or biomedical research. • Strong statistical computing skills including R and SAS programming skills. • Interest and ability to consult and collaborate on multidisciplinary research projects. • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
