Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellowship

Duties & Responsibilities: This is a statistical/behavioral genetics postdoctoral position applying genetic epidemiological and molecular genetic methodology to the study of anxiety and depressive disorders. It is a two-year position funded under the NIH study: NIMH R01MH087646 “The Role of Genes and Environment in Anxiety Spectrum Disorders” under the supervision of PI, Dr. Jack Hettema. The planned projects include phenotypic and risk factor refinement in twin, family, and population-based studies that will be incorporated into large-scale molecular genetic analyses of these phenotypes, including gene-by-environment interaction models.

Position Qualifications: Ph.D. in statistical/behavioral genetics or a closely related field with similar training. Competence in the manipulation and analysis of large datasets via standard statistical packages is required. Prior experience in structural equation modeling (via MPlus and/or Mx) applied to individual subject and twin level data is highly desirable.

Salary Range: $45,000-$60,000
