The Department of Statistical Science currently consists of 9 faculty and several others with adjunct/affiliate appointments. The department has a strong tradition in applied statistics with close ties to many programs including: bioinformatics, natural resources, ecology, and agriculture. The department offers a MS degree, graduate certificate, and undergraduate minor in statistics. The college currently enrolls 800 undergraduate students and 220 graduate students and employs 100 faculty and 40 staff. The faculty research is largely supported by approximately $10 million in extramural grant funding.
