Company Information: The Center for Biostatistics at The Ohio State University provides statistical support to the OSU Medical Center, the Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Center for Clinical and Translational Science, the five health sciences colleges, biomedical investigators throughout the university and biomedical researchers outside the university. Our mission is to provide collaborative support in all areas of biostatistical expertise, including study design, data management, and statistical analysis of clinical, epidemiological, and laboratory research data. Position Title: Biostatistician

Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will consult in a collaborative research environment; coordinate, conduct, and interpret analyses of biomedical research projects using descriptive statistics, basic inferential tests, and advanced statistical procedures; write programs using statistical software which may include developing special statistical programs for which no packaged software exists; assist in preparation of journal articles, technical reports and grant submissions; serve as database manager for research projects.

Position Qualifications: Master's degree in biostatistics/statistics or related field, excellent written/oral communication skills, proficiency with statistical software (especially SAS), and experience working with large datasets required. Five or more years experience preferred.
