Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellow - Biostatistics

Duties & Responsibilities: A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Biostatistics at Virginia Commonwealth University. This position provides opportunities for both methodological and applied collaborative research. The research topic involves developing and applying innovative statistical methods to (i) determine childhood risk factors of adult cardiovascular abnormalities, and to (ii) determine whether deviations from healthy juvenile growth patterns affect adulthood cardiac structure and function. Position Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or in another related area, and should have substantial statistical expertise in the areas of longitudinal data analysis, mixed effects models, latent variable modeling, and/or hierarchical modeling. In addition, candidates should have experience working with large longitudinal data sets and should have strong statistical computing and programming skills (e.g. R and/or SAS).
