Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellow - Biostatistics

Duties & Responsibilities: A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Biostatistics. This position provides opportunities for both methodological and applied collaborative research. The research topic involves developing and applying innovative statistical methods for the analysis of multivariate and multilevel determinants of childhood obesity in longitudinal and cross-sectional studies. Particular interest lies in investigating environmental risk factors for childhood obesity using various spatially-referenced data sources. Position Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, geography, or other related areas. Candidates should have substantial statistical expertise in the areas of hierarchical models, Bayesian analysis, and spatial statistics. In addition, candidates should have experience manipulating and organizing spatial data using geographic information systems (GIS) and have strong programming skills in a computer language (such as C, C++, or R).
