Position Title: Master's Level Statistician (SAS)

Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for the design of statistically valid research studies and of the application of advanced statistical methods for conducting analyses and preparing reports. Additional Summary Specific to Job An exciting opportunity is available for you to develop and conduct statistical analyses using statistical analysis software programs to fulfill the research objectives and to also develop data quality control computer programs, develop data retrieval algorithms, and produce data files for research purposes. Primary responsibilities include: - Assist principal investigator and co-investigators in conducting data quality assurance reporting and Data and Safety Monitoring Committee reporting, and assist in design and development of data quality assurance processes with collaborating research centers. - Develop, run statistical analyses, prepare written reports on these analyses, and participate in writing statistical sections of manuscripts on these analyses. Generate tabulations of results for abstracts, presentations, manuscripts, and reports. - Maintain necessary databases and publication documentation. - Participate in Data Coordination Center meetings. Work closely and cooperatively with project staff and faculty in the development and maintenance of Statistical Center Manual of Operations and analysis and safety sections of manuals for new and ongoing studies.

Position Qualifications: Master's Degree in statistics, or research related discipline with a minimum of four (4) years of experience analyzing outcomes resulting from survey data, internal data, and external data. No certification is required. Advanced statistical skills. Research study design skills. Research study supervision skills. This position requires an extremely high level of expertise in SAS including familiarity with SAS Macros, familiarity with other statistical software packages, and with database management. Also strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Stata programming and R programming skills highly desirable.

Salary Range: $59,604/yr - $74,508/yr DOE
