Mount Holyoke is an undergraduate liberal arts college for women with 2,100 students and 210 faculty. Half the faculty are women; one fourth are persons of color. Position Title:
Visiting Assistant Professor of Statistics
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics of Mount Holyoke College, which has offered a major in statistics for over 20 years, invites applications for a visiting position in statistics at the assistant professor level. The position is for one year, to begin in Fall, 2013. The teaching load will be 4 courses per year.
Position Qualifications:
Qualifications include a PhD in statistics (completed or anticipated) a commitment to teaching and scholarship in a liberal arts environment, and evidence of classroom effectiveness. The department is particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
