Position Title: Statistical Analyst

Duties & Responsibilities: Statistical Analyst Memphis, TN St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is a premier center for research and treatment of potentially fatal childhood diseases, including cancer and certain blood, genetic, and immunodeficiency disorders. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an opening for a Statistical Analyst (Job Number 30785). The Statistical Analyst in the Biostatistics Department provides knowledge in statistical analysis to institutional staff interested in conducting clinical or experimental studies or to other researchers as designated by grant relationships. Responsibilities include programming, analysis of data, graphical presentation and reporting of results, interpretation and explanation of statistical techniques used, and making valid inferences. Additionally, the Statistical Analyst conducts statistical analyses of projects associated with genomic data and will also provide support for St. Jude faculty involved with the Institution's computational biology research initiatives which involve ongoing and future collection and interpretation of comprehensive molecular data sets by several St. Jude Principal Investigators, the Pediatric Cancer Genome Project, and the new Department of Computational Biology. These activities are to be appropriately executed under the direct guidance of a Biostatistics Faculty Member, Project Leader or Lead Senior Biostatistician. Direct collaboration with investigators and clinical research associates is not expected (or is done mainly through the Biostatistics Faculty Member, Project Leader, or Lead Senior Biostatistician). WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:30-5:00 pm

Position Qualifications: Education Requirements: Master's Degree in biostatistics, applied statistics, or related field required. M.S. or Ph.D. in molecular biology or genetics preferred. Experience Requirements: Prior medical consulting and/or graduate research experience in a biostatistical environment preferred.
