Position Title: Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Applied Statistics, 9-month position. The Department of Economics, Applied Statistics, and International Business at New Mexico State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning in August 2013.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Position Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: An earned doctorate in statistics or a closely related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience or expertise in time series analysis, spatial statistics, multivariate applications, or applied stochastic processes. Strong candidates in other areas of statistics may also be considered. A successful candidate will be expected to provide innovative and excellent instruction, advise graduate students, conduct publishable research, collaborate with other university faculty members on a variety of projects, and participate in typical university, college, and departmental activities. The Department offers a M.S. degree in Applied Statistics with an emphasis on training consulting statisticians.
