Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Biostatistics

Duties & Responsibilities: A postdoctoral position in statistical genetics/genomics is available at the Biostatistics Branch (BB) of Division of Cancer Epidemiology (DCEG) and Genetics at National Cancer Institute. The successful applicant will work with Dr. Jianxin Shi to develop statistical methods for integrative genomic analysis of lung cancer (including transcriptom, exome, whole-genome sequencing and methylation), collaborating with Dr. Tere Landi from Genetic Epidemiology Branch (GEB) of DCEG. The successful applicant will also carry out real data analysis for this project. The position is immediately available and for two to three years.

Position Qualifications: Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Computational Biology with experiences of analyzing/modeling highly dimensional genomic data. Experience of analyzing next generation sequence data is a plus. Strong theoretical and computational skills are required. Particularly, a successful candidate should be able to write efficient programs in R and C/C++.

Salary Range: 58K-60K, depending on the previous working experience
