Yerby Postdoctoral Fellow
Duties & Responsibilities:
Applications are now being accepted for the Yerby Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at the Harvard School of Public Health. Applicants to the Yerby program should advance the goal of increasing the diversity of young scholars pursuing university-based careers in public health. Each Yerby fellow works closely with a senior mentor with compatible research interests and receives additional training in all the domains critical to academic success.
Position Qualifications:
The Yerby program seeks highly qualified candidates with established research interests. Of special interest are applicants who will contribute to academic diversity—e.g. those from groups historically underrepresented in U.S. health-related sciences (defined by the National Institutes of Health as American Indians or Alaska Natives, Blacks or African Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, and Native Hawaiians or other Pacific Islanders) and others whose background will contribute to academic diversity, including individuals from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds. Candidates must have received (or be about to receive) a doctoral degree in a public health-related field.
Salary Range:
$62,000 salary plus benefits, with additional $3,500 stipend for professional development
