Position Title:
Postdoctoral Fellow on Bioinformatics and Imaging Analysis
Duties & Responsibilities:
A postdoctoral opening within the Biostatistics and Imaging Analysis Lab (BIAS, http://www.bios.unc.edu/research/bias/) in the Department of Biostatistics and Biomedical Research Imaging Center is available, with start date Summer/Fall, 2012. The position will initially be funded by NIH R01 with additional support possible from other collaborative grants. Responsibilities include developing new statistical methods including variable selection, dimension reduction, functional data analysis, and manifold analysis for the analysis of high-dimensional neuroimaging and genetic data.
Position Qualifications:
PhD or equivalent in Biostatistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Mining, Medical Imaging Analysis, Pattern recognition or a related quantitative field. Familiar with C++ and matlab would be a big plus.
