Position Title: Biostatistician

Duties & Responsibilities: The Biostatistician's responsibilities will include contributing statistical expertise and directing and executing the statistical aspects of two large multi-center studies in ocular and periodontal disease, including design, analyses and reporting; developing relevant methodology; participating as a member of the study teams and study leadership committees; and participating in teaching programs for medical students, residents, fellows and faculty.

Position Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or closely related discipline and a minimum of three years of full time Postdoctoral experience in Applied Biostatistics and Clinical trials with demonstrated ability for independent work. Evidence of methodological and collaborative research accomplishments in clinical trails including proven skills in design, analysis and reporting of clinical research in a coordinating center or clinical trials environment. Strong PC-based skills and proficiency in SAS, S-PLUS or other statistical computational packages. Relevant publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Commitment to excellence in teaching with at least two years of full time experience in teaching Biostatistics to health professionals. Preferred Qualifications: Five or more years experience in Biostatistical management and/or analysis of clinical trials with broad PC expertise in longitudinal data analysis. Minimum two years experience in statistical genetics methodology

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
