Title: Postdoctoral Research
Position Duties & Responsibilities: The Department of Biostatistics at UTMDACC has a postdoctoral position available immediately. The research will focus on statistical methodology and theory development for high dimensional data with application to high throughput bioinformatics data such as Affymetrix exon tiling array data. The research may involve development of statistical tests for dimension reduction and modeling of correlated high dimensional data taking into account useful biological information. And the postdoctoral fellow will likely participate in a joint research project between Drs Jianhua Hu and Xuming He. Position Qualifications: Ph.D. required in statistics or biostatistics. Strong theoretical training in statistics some experience working with bioinformatics data and good computational skills are desired.
