Position Title:Postdoctoral
Researcher Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology
Duties
& Responsibilities:
We seek a post-doctoral researcher for an NIH-funded research
project to develop and implement approaches for the analysis of
real-time blood flow and
oxygenation data collected during photodynamic therapy (PDT) for
patients with cancer.
Further work will involve collaboration with faculty
in the analysis of
data including
quality of life data arising from research carried out by the PDT group
at
Penn. It is expected that this project will motivate independent
biostatistical research
methods to evaluate and/or modify existing approaches to analyzing
these data.. Publication
in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific and
professional meetings are
encouraged and expected. The position will be supervised by Dr. Mary
Putt and may also
involve work with other faculty.
Position
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in statistics or biostatistics required. Desired skills
include proficiency in statistical computing and knowledge of linear
and non-linear mixed
effects modeling techniques along with strong verbal and written
communication skills and
the ability to work independently. Publication in peer-reviewed
journals and presentations
at scientific and professional meetings are strongly encouraged.
Salary
