Duties
& Responsibilities:
The Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology at the
University of Rochester invites applications for a
tenure-track
Assistant or Associate
Professor position. The successful candidate will be expected to
develop an active program
in methodological research contribute to the Ph.D. program
through teaching and advising
graduate students and have a major role in collaborative research with
the Department of
Neurology. A generous salary with start-up support is offered. The two
departments have a
long-standing collaborative relationship and play leadership roles in
national and
international groups conducting multi-center clinical trials and
epidemiological studies in
Parkinson’s disease Huntington’s disease
and other
neurologic disorders. Both departments
are highly ranked in terms of NIH funding. A key component of the new
position will involve
working with investigators throughout North America in the
design
and analysis of clinical
trials in Parkinson’s disease. Previous collaborative
experience
in clinical research
particularly clinical trials is highly desirable.
