Track Assistant Professor
Duties
& Responsibilities: The
Department of Statistics at
Kansas State University is seeking
qualified applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor beginning
Fall 2010. Duties will include
teaching undergraduate and graduate courses research and directing M.S.
and Ph.D students.
Applicants with research interests in any area of statistics will be
considered but the Department
has special interest in someone with an interest in statistical
education and in the delivery of
statistics education via course offerings at the undergraduate level
and through distance offerings.
Such a person would supervise graduate teaching assistants and
coordinate multiple sections of
undergraduate statistics courses as well as researching and developing
novel approaches
for the delivery of statistics education. Also of particular interest
is someone with statistical
consulting experience and an interest in consulting with graduate
students and faculty from across
the campus.
Position
Qualifications:
Qualifications include a Ph.D. in statistics
or in a related area by August 2010 with PhD dissertation research in
statistics or biostatistics.
