Position Title: Tenure-Leading Faculty Position

Duties & Responsibilities: The Department of Biostatistics, UNMC College of Public Health, seeks outstanding applicants for one or more tenure-leading faculty positions, rank and tenure commensurate with experience. The responsibilities are collaborative research (including campus and inter-campus partnerships to pursue external grant funding), teaching, curriculum development and advising in expanding graduate programs in Public Health. Commitment to scholarly growth is expected, and opportunity for independent research is provided. Areas of emphasis include statistical analysis of high dimensional (i.e. genomics/proteomics) data and statistical methodology for clinical trials or observational studies. Candidates should be comfortable working across disciplines and experience in biostatistical consulting is preferred. They should also have experience teaching students from various disciplines, and communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Candidates should have a strong commitment to graduate teaching and advising, and evidence of teaching excellence. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics or an equivalent field.

Position Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics or an equivalent field. Prior biostatistical consulting is preferred.
