Position Title:
Master's Level Biostatistician
Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Program Director and Faculty in the Biostatistics Program at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, the Biostatistician will be responsible for providing statistical expertise in the design, evaluation, and analysis of data arising from research studies. Additional job responsibilities include statistical programming, writing of analysis reports that include explanations of methods used and interpretations of results obtained, as well as assisting investigators in the development of presentation and publication materials related to research findings.
Position Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a master’s degree in Biostatistics or Statistics completed by May of 2011 or sooner. A minimum of two years work experience is required; work experience obtained while enrolled can be considered. Demonstrated use of statistical software is required; SAS, R/S-Plus, and/or STATA are preferred. Experience with LaTeX and database management software is also preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with a variety of data types and data sources is required.
