Position Title:
Biostat Statistician II
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Statistician II functions as a statistical consultant/project manager by applying statistical, computer and scientific expertise to the design, implementation, analysis, interpretations, and reporting of research, clinical and administrative studies.
Position Qualifications:
Masters degree in Statistics/Biostatistics or an MPH (with at least 12 semester hours in Statistics) with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Three years experience at Mayo at the statistician level or similar experience elsewhere. Experience in carrying out most phases of statistical analysis, interpretation and report-writing. Expertise in the use of statistical computing and data management packages. Well-developed oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate various tasks on multiple, concurrent projects. Demonstrated initiative/innovation in administration, education, software development, technical reports. Demonstrated success in project management and communication skills. Detailed knowledge of a wide variety of statistical methods with a clear understanding of their applicability. Three or more years experience as a consulting statistician. Experience with S-Plus and SAS software in a Unix environment. Experience working in a health care environment.
Salary Range:
Salaried - Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every two weeks is appropriately $75,538.00 based on a full-time position.
