Position Title: STATISTICAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE II – KW24071

Duties & Responsibilities: Provides statistical support as listed in SRA I job description plus includes some of the following: review protocol drafts and participate in protocol development team; and assist protocol lead statistician in the design of appropriate analyses. The incumbent works under limited technical direction to develop analytic data sets, conduct statistical analyses, and document data sets and analytic programs. Exercises judgment with defined practices and policies. May include some or all of the following: 1. Participate in protocol team conference calls and meetings. 2. Review protocol drafts and participate in protocol development. 3. Review or confirm statistical considerations in protocol (sample size/power). 4. Assist protocol lead statistician in the development of statistical analysis plan. 5. Participate in the development of case report forms. 6. Assist in the development of quality assurance procedures for on-going data collection and analysis, such as establishing edit checks, or HIV endpoint validation. 7. Provide statistical analysis, written summaries and tables of results of project data for use in project reports, for example, Data and Safety Monitoring Board meetings and scientific papers, under the direction of other statisticians. 8. Document and archive statistical documents. 9. Assist in the development and validation of randomization list code. 10. Assist in validation of standard reports prepared by reporting programmers. 11. Perform other responsibilities as required.

Position Qualifications: Master’s degree in Statistics or Biostatistics and minimum of one year of related experience. Proficiency with the statistical packages used within the department/project. Proficiency in the development of statistical programs and software. Strong oral and written communication skills.
