Position Title:
Postdoctoral Associate-Bioinformatics
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Duke University Medical Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate for a five-year research project. The specific goal of the project is to validate signature pathways in prostate cancer. This position is available immediately and will be filled as soon as possible. Appointment will be made on a renewable, one-year contract with the expectation of a possible five-year term.
Position Qualifications:
Candidates must have: a PhD degree in statistics, biostatistics or bioinformatics, experience in regression methods (binary and time to event endpoints) and data base manipulation; and strong programming skills in order to conduct Monte Carlo studies and applications (R/Plus/SAS software/programming). Candidate must have excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), a working knowledge of validation approaches (preferred) and proficiency in Linux system, C++ and Python.
