Position Title: Assistant Professor of Statistics

Duties & Responsibilities: The Department of Statistics at the University of Wyoming is seeking to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting August 2012. Candidates should have a PhD in Statistics or closely related quantitative field by the start of the appointment. Both research and teaching are important at the University of Wyoming, and the position requires dedication and proficiency in both areas. For this position, the successful candidate is expected to have research interests in computational statistics. Capabilities in Bayesian modeling and analysis and interest in interdisciplinary and collaborative research are also highly desirable. Interdisciplinary connections with earth science, ecology, and energy research are particularly welcome.

Position Qualifications: Ph.D in statistics of closely related quantitative field by the start of the appointment.
