Collaborative agreements allow for cross-institutional work with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center as well as partnerships with Baptist Memorial Health Care, Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and other community health clinics and systems.
Position Title:
Assistant Professor of Biostatistics
Duties & Responsibilities:
Tenure track 9-month academic position in biostatistics at the Assistant Professor level. Expertise in performing a wide range of statistical data analyses and modeling approaches is required, along with knowledge and experience using multiple standard programs such as SAS, SPSS, R, and STATA. The successful candidate will be expected to teach and mentor students in our MPH and doctoral programs, to have or establish a strong program of peer-review scholarship and funded research, and to contribute to the further development of the School of Public Health.
Position Qualifications:
Applicants must possess, or have completed by the time of employment, a doctoral degree in biostatistics. Those with a doctoral degree in a closely related field and relevant professional experience also are encouraged to apply. Expertise in complex systems or multi-level modeling, decision analysis, or health informatics is desirable but not required.
