Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellow

Duties & Responsibilities: The Center for the Promotion of Research Involving Innovative Statistical Methodology (PRIISM) at New York University seeks a postdoctoral fellow for a two-year position to work on a project focusing on the development of methods for sensitivity analysis in causal inference. The position could start as late as the Summer of 2012 if need be, but has the potential for an earlier start date if desired.

Position Qualifications: The successful candidate would have a PhD in Statistics or a PhD in a social science discipline with an extremely strong statistics background. We are especially interested in students with interests in social and education policy, training in causal inference, experience in Bayesian computation, and the ability to program in R and other languages. Experience creating R packages and/or graphical user interfaces (GUIs) a plus. The post-doc will work closely with Professors Jennifer Hill and Marc Scott and will have exposure to the larger PRIISM/NYU community of statisticians and applied researchers.

Salary Range: commensurate with experience
