Position Title:
Biostatistician, MS
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Biostatistician will be devoted to the Biostatistics Department. The Biostatistician will take lead responsibility for ensuring appropriate study designs and statistical and research methods are used in all studies/projects that she/he reviews or participates in. She/he will provide a high level of expertise in statistical methodologies, research methods, and interpretations of scientific data for researchers with whom she/he collaborates.
Position Qualifications:
Requires a MS, MA, or MAS in Biostatistics or Statistics. Must have proof of current CITI Human Subject Protection training or must complete within six weeks of hire. New graduates will be considered, but candidates with 1-2 years experience in statistical consulting, data management and analysis will be preferred. Some experience with the SAS statistical programming language, advanced knowledge in at least one statistical analysis package and demonstrated knowledge of statistical and research methods is required. Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex tasks, with minimal supervision, is necessary.
