Indiana University Department of Biostatistics

Company Information: The Indiana University Department of Biostatistics is associated with the Schools of Medicine and (emerging) Public Health. Although, a newly created Department, it is an established Biostatistics group with 16 faculty members, 17 full-time PhD students and 30 professional staff. We are dedicated to excellence in statistical and collaborative research in the health sciences and in teaching. The Department has an ongoing PhD program in Biostatistics and an extensive portfolio of research funding as principal investigators and co-investigators that includes collaborative research with all departments in the School of Medicine as well as the Schools of Dentistry, Nursing and Law. It is located in Indianapolis, a low profile city that is among the nicest places to live in the country. It has consistently ranked high on many of the “best places to live” lists and has an economy that is growing in the life sciences arena.

Position Title: Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (up to 2 positions)

Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities include own program of research, collaborative research with health researchers and an anticipated teaching load of 2 courses per year. All areas of biostatistics will be considered but expertise in causal modeling, adaptive trials or psychometrics is desirable.

Position Qualifications: PhD in biostatistics, statistics or related field. Practical experience preferred. Excellent communication skills required.
