Position Title:
Biostatistics/ Epidemiologist II
Duties & Responsibilities:
We are currently recruiting for a Biostatistician/ Epidemiologist II To collaborate with researchers in the design, execution, and analyses of moderately complex clinical, epidemiological and basic science studies for a medical center dedicated to the care of infants, children and adolescents. Some of the duties will include: • Performs moderately complex statistical analyses, such as repeated measures analysis of variance. • Develop macros to generate ongoing regular reports and charts which summarize results from on-going multi-site collaboratives. • Acts as a resource in implementing new statistical software and obtains working knowledge of its capabilities. • Constructs moderately complex databases, in SAS or for studies with multiple visits. • Writes code to perform quality control procedures on databases. • Designs, constructs, maintain, and write development documentation. • Recognizes various epidemiologic, clinical or basic research study designs and the analysis implications of those designs. • Calculates sample sizes for straightforward studies based on preliminary clinical data and planned analysis strategy, and provides descriptions of those sample size calculations for grants or IRB submissions.
Position Qualifications:
Master’s degree is required. Master’s degree in Biostatistics/Epidemiology preferred or a Master’s degree in a closely related field e.g., Mathematical Statistics or Public Health. Minimum 3 years experience in analyzing data.
