Position Title: Data Scientist

Duties & Responsibilities: Here at eXelate, we are looking to hire a data scientist to work with us in digital advertising technology. We are looking for someone comfortable at the intersection of computer science and statistics / econometrics to work on machine learning problems at massive scale and help us build our analytics infrastructure using primarily open source technologies. We are technology agnostic, but some tools we know to be useful are: R / Octave / Matlab / Weka / S-Plus Python / SciPy / NumPy Hadoop / MapReduce Hive / HBase / Pig / Mahout Java / C / C++ SQL / NoSQL / RDBMS Design Shell scripting ( sed / awk / grep / cron ) GGobi / Jaspersoft / Tableau

Position Qualifications: An ideal candidate would be familiar with a useful subset of these and have an advanced degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science / Statistics / Economics / Operations Research / Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
