Position Title: Assitant/Associate Professor in Biostatistics

Duties & Responsibilities: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Wright State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in biostatistics at the rank of assistant or associate professor starting Fall 2012. The department currently has 8 statistics faculty. The department is developing a biostatistics concentration in our Applied Statistics MS program in addition to an ongoing University-wide effort to develop biostatistical research collaborations with the School of Medicine. Applicants in all areas of biostatistics will be considered, but with preference given to those who can contribute to our new biostatistics graduate program, can forge research collaborations with our School of Medicine, and have expertise and/or experience in clinical trials research. Qualifications include an earned PhD in biostatistics or statistics (anticipated completion of all requirements by August 16, 2012). Experience in college teaching is also desirable. To be considered at the rank of associate professor, candidates must have excellent track records in research and teaching that meet the university criteria for the rank.
