Position Title: Assistant Professor - Tenure Track

Duties & Responsibilities: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in statistics, to begin August 2012. The position involves teaching graduate and undergraduate classes, advising and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, and academic research.

Position Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, or a closely related field and must demonstrate strong potential for excellence in both research and teaching. We are particularly interested in candidates with a research emphasis in one or more of the following areas: ecological and environmental statistics; econometrics or business statistics, including actuarial mathematics; and computational statistics, graphical statistics, or visualization. Other qualified candidates who can contribute to existing strengths (including biostatistics, bioinformatics, and statistics education) and who can collaborate with USU faculty also, are strongly encouraged to apply.
