Company Information: Department of Biostatistics is one of the original departments of the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health when it was founded in 1949. Faculty members in the department develop new statistical methodology and provide the quantitative component to public health and biomedical research efforts that have had a major impact on the prevention and treatment of disease. Graduates from the program have assumed leadership roles in academia, industry, and government. The Department currently has 31 full-time faculty members, and more than 100 students enrolled. Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor (Tenure-stream)

Duties & Responsibilities: We seek outstanding individuals with a commitment to methodological and collaborative research, and teaching. We have particular interest in candidates with research expertise in several areas including, but not limited to, clinical trials, comparative effectiveness, longitudinal data analysis, and observational studies. Position Qualifications: The Department of Biostatistics in the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh seeks applicants for two tenure-track positions at the assistant, associate, and/or professor level, to begin in fall 2012 or earlier. New PhDs and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to apply. Candidates should submit a letter of application, a statement of research and teaching interests, and a curriculum vitae. Candidates should also arrange for three reference letters to be submitted.

Salary Range: Rank and salary will be determined by the candidate's credentials.
