Company Information: The Department has 20 regular faculty members and more than 113 graduate students. Many faculty members have joint appointments in other departments. The Department is well known for its strong interplay between statistical theory, methodology, and practice. The Department has an extensive computing facility, including a LINUX-based network. The facilities support the use of several scientific programming languages and a number of powerful statistical and numerical packages, including R, SAS, Maple, and MATLAB. Internal research support is available from funds provided by the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation. Position Title: Assistant Professor

Duties & Responsibilities: The Department of Statistics at the University of Wisconsin is seeking to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting August 2012. Candidates should have research interests in statistical theory and/or methodology and a PhD in Statistics or closely related quantitative field prior to the start of the appointment. Responsibilities of the position include the training of graduate students.
