Duke Human Vaccine Institute

Company Information: The Duke Human Vaccine Institute (DHVI) is performing a bold experiment, that of asking if we can operate a research and development group in an academic setting to perform the basic research needed to make the drugs, vaccines and diagnostics necessary to protect our global society from AIDS, and other emerging infections such as TB, plague, and pandemic influenza. To achieve our goals, we have assembled a talented group of investigators and laboratory staff, each committed to teamwork and synergy to solve critical problems that stand in the way of difficult scientific problems. By combining expertise in mucosal and systemic virology, molecular biology, microbiology and animal models, DHVI investigators and staff form interactive teams that work together to bring rapid and novel research strategies to HIV vaccine development and other microbe threats. Each member of our staff is important and plays an important role in our overall success.
