Position Title: Open-Rank Faculty Position for Bioinformatics

Duties & Responsibilities: The newly established Center for Integrative Bioinformatics and Experimental Mathematics (CIBEM) at the Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology, University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry has an immediate opening for a tenure-track faculty (open-rank) position to lead our bioinformatics research in the CIBEM. We are looking for a creative individual to join our inter-disciplinary research Center.

Position Qualifications: The applicant should have a Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer engineering, biostatistics, biology or other related scientific disciplines. Background in immunology, virology or infectious diseases and experience in analysis and interpretation of transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, or other high-throughput sequencing data related to biological networks are preferred. Familiarity in bioinformatics databases and software tools is a plus. Demonstrated evidence of good communication and collaboration skills is essential. Senior candidates being considered at the Associate or Full Professor level will be expected to have an outstanding research program, including high-profile publications and a successful record of extramural funding.

Salary Range: The compensation and start-up package are competitive and dependent on experience and qualification.
