Postdoctoral Fellow
Duties & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to join an interdisciplinary team of statistical and behavioral scientists affiliated with the School of Science and Engineering and the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. The position is being offered by Michelle Lacey (PhD, Statistics) and Janet Schwartz (PhD, Cognitive Psychology) to support a large-scale project investigating the application of principles of behavioral economics to motivate preventive health behaviors. The successful candidate will assist faculty in the design and analysis of behavioral intervention studies, as well as analyze large datasets of health claims. The fellow will also have opportunities to pursue his or her independent research and to contribute to ongoing projects in the statistical analysis and modeling of biomedical data through Dr. Lacey’s affiliation with the Tulane Cancer Center.
Position Qualifications:
Candidates should hold a PhD in statistics or biostatistics with significant experience in applied data analysis. Good communication skills and the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team are essential for this position.
