Currently, we have a career opportunity as a Statistical Anal/Programmer 1. Job Summary: Under the direction of doctoral-level biostatistician (faculty), identify, conduct and summarize appropriate statistical analysis for the Health Disparities Program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Specific Responsibilities: • Under guidance of faculty biostatistician, select appropriate statistical methods and conduct multivariate analyses in STATA for developmental epidemiological study of health needs and outcomes of detained youth; • Under direction of faculty biostatistician, prepare tables, figures, and graphs depicting research results using STATA, R, other statistical packages, and Microsoft Excel; • Assist in the preparation of scientific presentations, manuscripts, reports, and grant proposals; • Analyze methodological concerns associated with complex longitudinal survey data; • Performs related duties as required or assigned.

Position Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: • A master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field, and one or more years’ experience in the use of statistical applications such as STATA or SAS, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired; • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired. Preferred Qualifications: • Strong programming skills with statistical software, particularly with respect to reproducible research; • Extremely detail oriented; • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills; • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
