Position Title: Post-Doctoral Fellow

Duties & Responsibilities: Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral Researcher position available immediately in the Department of Environmental Health at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, under the supervision of Dr. Karen Levy. This position is supported by an NIH Fogarty International Center R-21 grant and will entail carrying out time series analyses of the impact of climate on diarrheal disease incidence, and the role that social vulnerability variables play in mediating that impact. The research involves using statistical modeling methods to test how metrics of social vulnerability of human communities mediate relationships between climate and disease incidence, under current and future conditions, using a large dataset from northern coastal Ecuador. The position will also involve carrying out statistical analysis on other group projects related to water quality and climatic drivers of enteric disease.

Position Qualifications: Applicants should have strong biostatistical &/or epidemiological analysis skills, especially experience with analysis of longitudinal data and infectious disease data. Experience manipulating and using weather data, an interest/background in climate change, and/or Spanish language abilities are also desired. Applicants should have successfully defended their dissertation and should have a PhD degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics or a related field.
