The Brown University Center for Statistical Sciences (CSS) was founded in 1995 to foster research and statistical education at Brown Medical School and the University at large. It is located in central Providence, RI. The Department of Biostatistics is comprised of approximately 30 graduate students and 10 faculty.
Position Title:
Postdoc
Duties & Responsibilities:
The position involves developing statistical methods and implementing related computational tools and applying these for high-throughput data, including RNA-seq and microarray data. We seek an individual with strong applied statistical and computational background in high dimensional data analysis.the biological science involved
Position Qualifications:
PhD in biostatistics or statistics or other related field. Experience in data analysis in genomics, strong programming proficiency required. Familiarity with Bioconductor a plus. The ideal candidate should either have a deep understanding of the biological science involved in statistical genomics, or is willing to learn the science behind the statistics.
