Company Information: The Division of Gerontology in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health (EPH) is an academic resource that conducts research, educates health-care professionals, and provides services related to gerontological health and disease. Areas of research include hip fracture and hip replacement, dementia, pressure ulcers, psychological aspects of aging, physical functioning of the aged, care-giving and long-term care, and methods of studying older persons.

Position Title: PhD Biostatistician (Assistant /Associate Professor)

Duties & Responsibilities: Research involves clinical trials to improve cardiometabolic and health status of older subjects with chronic diseases, including obesity-diabetes, metabolic syndrome, frailty, stroke and heart diseases. Biostatistics research should be related to aging, clinical trials methodology, longitudinal models, and statistical bioinformatics. The selected candidate will be engaged in research on 4 NIH and VA centers and multiple independent grants, conduct independent methodological research, and participate in graduate teaching.

Position Qualifications: 3 years experience in collaborative clinical research, PhD in biostatistics/epidemiology with skills in biostatistics and informatics, collaborative research in aging, and clinical trials; US citizenship, and excellent communication skills.
