The Centre for Statistical and Survey Methodology (CSSM) is a vibrant and growing research centre that undertakes fundamental and industry focussed research, professional education and training, and consulting projects. The Centre is a research strength of the university with 17 academic staff, including four professors, and over 20 research students. CSSM has extensive research and consulting contracts with external agencies and several ARC funded research projects. The Australian Bureau of Statistics funds a research professor in statistical methodology. CSIRO and the Grains Research Development Corporation fund a research professor in biometry.
Position Title:
Senior Research Fellow in Survey and Statistical Methodology
Duties & Responsibilities:
This is a fixed term contract position suitable for someone able to develop and maintain relationships with external organisations involving contract research, consulting and professional education. The successful applicant will participate in developing and managing the centre’s programme of training and professional education and undertake some teaching in the programme. The person will also undertake research in statistical methodology.
Position Qualifications:
The appointee will have a postgraduate qualification in statistics and extensive experience in statistical methodology focussing on survey, official and social statistics.
Salary Range:
$ AUD 94,449.00 (min) - $AUD 108,909.00 (max)
