Postdoctoral Fellow
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Departments of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at University of Washington has one two-year post-doctoral position available after July 1, 2012. Successful candidate is expected to join the team of epidemiologists, biostatisticians, and computer scientists at the National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center (NACC) (1) to advise and contribute to statistical solutions raised by investigators at the ~30 Alzheimer’s Disease Centers (ADCs) and other investigators associated with Alzheimer’s research efforts, (2) to conduct methodological research and evaluate new statistical methods to solve problems in Alzheimer’s Disease research, such as those related to missing data in studies collected at multiple sites, and (3) to promote collaborative research among the ADCs through research funding and technical support.
Position Qualifications:
Ph.D required in statistics, biostatistics, or mathematics. Strong theoretical, computational, and communication skills are desired.
