Position Title:
Faculty biostatistician (rank open depending on experience)
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Department of Clinical Sciences and the NCI-designated Harold C. Simmons Cancer Center at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) in Dallas is seeking candidates for a faculty biostatistician position. The biostatistician will have the opportunity to collaborate with basic, translational, clinical and population-based cancer research, and health outcome research. Successful candidates are expected to collaborate with Cancer Center investigators, as well as pursue independent research.
Position Qualifications:
Applicants should have a doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics or a closely related field, excellent oral and written communication skills and commitment to high quality methodology and collaborative research. Candidates with expertise in statistical applications in basic, translational, clinical and population-based cancer research, clinical trial design or health outcome research and working experience in a collaborative biomedical research setting are preferred.
Salary Range:
Rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and credentials.
