Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellow

Duties & Responsibilities: A Postdoctoral Associate position in Boiostatistics or Statistics is available immediately in the JG Brown Cancer Center at University of Louisville, KY. Minimum qualications are an earned Ph.D in Biostatistics or Statistics. The applicant is expected to work independently and to show outstanding capacity for research as well as good communication skills and team work skills. This position is for support of a wide variety of research projects. Duties will include data analysis support by writing statistical computer programs, production of tables and graphics, preparation of datasets, and assisting interpretation of analysis results. The applicant is expected to have 0-3 years experience in analyzing data using statistical packages and organizing and communicating statistical concepts with non-statisticians, experience in the design and analysis of health and clinical studies, and also possess knowledge and experience with SAS software. Desirable to possess knowledge and experience with S-Plus, R, Stata and/or SPSS software.

Position Qualifications: PhD, MD or DVM and 0 to 3 years of related experience are required. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biostatistics or Statistics. Experience in clinical and/or biomedical research. Strong statistical computing skills including R and SAS programming skills. Interest and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary research projects • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
