Position Title: Lecturer in Statistics

Duties & Responsibilities: College of Engineering Department of Mathematics and Statistics Applications are invited for a continuing (tenured) position in Statistics, at the level of Lecturer (comparable to Assistant Professor in the US system) in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Canterbury. We are looking for an individual with a demonstrated background in research and teaching. In this position, you will contribute to the Department's undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and undertake high-quality research. You will have the ability to work effectively within teams as part of your administration and teaching duties. The successful applicant will have research interests in any area of applied statistics. Interest in statistical applications to economics, finance, psychology, biology, engineering and health sciences, is particularly welcomed. You must have a Ph.D. in Statistics (or be near completion) or have an equivalent qualification. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is a strong, forward-looking Department, dedicated to excellence in research and teaching.
