Quantitative Biomedical Research Center (QBRC) at the UT Southwestern Medical Center is a new center within the Department of Clinical Sciences. QBRC aims to foster collaborations involving quantitative methods and technologies in any aspect of biomedical research, particularly for understanding disease etiologies and developing treatment and prevention strategies. Currently, the new center has five faculty members and six staff biostatisticians/bioinformaticians. We are actively recruiting new members to join this new and dynamic group.
Position Title:
Biostatistician/Post-Doctoral fellow
Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of faculty members, this person will be engaged in statistical consulting and grant proposal support for biomedical investigators, including design of experiments, modeling and data analysis, interpretation and presentation of results, and preparation of reports; Develop statistical/computational methodologies and write scientific manuscripts.
Position Qualifications:
-A master or Ph.D. degree in biostatistics, statistics, or other related disciplines. -Effective working knowledge of R or SAS. . -Ability to effectively communicate with biomedical researchers and statisticians.
