The Group Health Research Institute (GHRI, www.grouphealthresearch.org) is seeking a doctorally trained (PhD or MD/MPH) candidate for a 2-year postdoctoral research fellowship. GHRI is a multidisciplinary research organization with successful programs in a wide range of clinical, epidemiologic, and health services research areas. Applications are sought from candidates working in one or more of the following areas: • Biostatistics • Cancer epidemiology • Comparative effectiveness research • Health services research The postdoctoral fellow will engage in a combination of independent, methodological, and collaborative research under the supervision of a GHRI faculty mentor. About GHRI: GHRI is a non-proprietary, public-interest research organization. Our mission is to improve health and health care, which we do both through our public-domain research and through our affiliation with Group Health (www.ghc.org), a nonprofit cooperative health plan in the Pacific Northwest. Group Health is strongly committed to evidence-based health care and the translation of research into practice. The GHRI faculty includes 60 scientific faculty members, including 7 with PhDs in biostatistics and 10 master’s level biostatisticians. Our research is primarily funded through federal grants. Total 2010 grant revenue exceeded $35 million. GHRI is an active member of a vibrant regional research community that includes the University of Washington, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and the Seattle Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center.
