Position Title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Duties & Responsibilities: A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Biostatistics, Columbia University starting July 1st, 2011. The position involves methodological and applied research in statistical genetics with Dr. Iuliana Ionita-Laza. Examples include developing statistical and computational methods for population-based and family-based designs in the context of large-scale association studies. Application areas include the genetics of asthma, and psychiatric disorders. Qualifications are a PhD in statistics, biostatistics, computer science or other quantitative field, and strong programming skills in R or C. Previous experience in statistical genetics is considered an advantage.
