Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center in cooperation with the Department of Clinical Sciences at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas is inviting applications for the following Biostatistician position:

Tenure-Eligible Faculty Position: One assistant professor position is available immediately and includes very competitive compensation and benefits. The successful applicant is expected to collaborate with both clinical and basic science investigators within the Cancer Center to provide statistical direction of the design, conduct and analysis of a wide range of studies. Independent methodological research is encouraged and expected. Graduate level teaching in biostatistics is available. We seek motivated individuals who desire to make major impact on cancer research and seek substantive scientific and statistical responsibilities. Support of MS Biostatisticians to this position is provided.

Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or other closely related fields, collaborative research experience, demonstrated expertise with appropriate statistical packages, and relevant publications in biostatistics and cancer research. Preference is given to applicants who have working experience in clinical trials, and collaborative grant applications. Excellent oral and written English communication skills are required.
